Crime Report: Man Accused of Pointing Gun at Victim Outside Home

Brandishing a firearm
A 28-year-old man is accused brandished a gun at a victim outside a home, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
Police say that on 8:52 p.m. on April 18, a victim was held at gunpoint outside a home in the 3400 block of South 25th Street. The victim immediately ran away from the man and called police.

Officers found and arrested Brian Antonio Williams, of Arlington, a short distance away. He was charged with brandishing a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school and felony possession of a firearm. He is being held without bond.

An Alexandria man is accused of trying to rob a victim and striking him in the face.
According to police, at 12:34 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1400 block of North Courthouse Road, Diavonte Dejean Barlow, 19, approached a man and asked him for money.
The victim told Barlow he didn’t have any money and walked away, police report. Barlow then chased the victim down and struck him in the face, according to police. Barlow was charged with attempted robbery and assault and battery.
The Arlington County Police Department and the county jail are also in the 1400 block of North Courthouse Road.
Burglary
Someone forced their way into the garage of a home between 10:30 p.m. on April 16 and 7:20 a.m. on April 17 in the 3800 block of North Nelson Street. Nothing appeared to have been stolen, according to police.

A computer and digital camera were reported stolen sometime between 10 p.m. on April 18 and 6:30 a.m. on April 19 from the 5900 block of North 10th Road, police report.
Burglary
Two gas generators, copper piping and a compressor were reported stolen from an apartment complex maintenance room. Police say the items were taken between noon April 12 and 9 a.m. April 19 from the complex in the 200 block of North Piedmont Street.
