
The National Chamber Ensemble (NCE), Artisphere's Resident Ensemble presents " Spotlight on Classical Guitar". The NCE will showcase the sublime beauty of the classical guitar with critically acclaimed guitarist Orlando Roman. The concert will be in the intimate, 387-seat Spectrum Theatre at Artisphere, in Rosslyn. The concert features music of the Italian and Latin - American masters, and will include the Giuliani Guitar Concerto No. 1 as well as the exciting and virtuosic Sonata for Violin and Guitar by Paganini in A minor. Other works on the program include the charming "Las Presencias" #6 by Gustavino and the brilliant "Die Vogel" (the Birds) by Angulo.
The National Chamber Ensemble, praised by the DC Examiner for being " Exciting...", and called " Delightful..." by The Washington Post, will entrance and educate the connoisseur, as well as the first time concertgoer. With the musician's wonderful ability to interact with the audience while performing at the highest caliber both classical and modern chamber selections, the NCE is re-defining chamber music.
