The Arlington Gay and Lesbian Alliance (AGLA) sponsored Holiday Hugs & Kisses: a Video Filming Event at the Artisphere on Saturday Dec. 4.
The video shoot was designed to show healthy expressions of love and affection by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered (LGBT) individuals, their friends and allies. AGLA hopes to demonstrate a broad community and regional support for LGBT equality through large public displays of affection by people from all walks of life. In addition to the video shoot, the event also featured arts and cultural performances by Different Drummers, Urban Arias, and Freddie's Follies.
A YouTube video will be produced from live footage recorded at the event, similar to a video produced in Paris. The video will use the song Kisses for Christmas and will be premiered at the Artisphere on December 20th followed by an opening reception.
