Police: Peeping Tom Reported Near Lyon Village

The Arlington County Police Department is investigating a report of a peeping Tom just north of Lyon Village.

At about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, a 24-year-old woman returned to her home in the 2000 block of North Daniel Street to find a neighbor looking through her apartment window at her roommate, according to information police released this week.

The man ran away. Police so far have been unable to find him, spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said.

The man and the woman were acquaintances.

"She has said that they have said hello to each other in passing," Sternbeck said.

Investigators aren't sure whether this type of behavior is a habit for the man, or if this was a one-time incident.

"I don't know how many people would feel comfortable knowing that their neighbor was just caught peeping," Sternbeck said.
