Police: Woman, 37, Sexually Assaulted While Jogging
Incident occurred in the 2000 block of Army Navy Drive in South Arlington.

A 37-year-old woman was sexually assaulted Thursday morning while jogging on a sidewalk along Army Navy Drive, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
At about 6:35 a.m., an unknown man attacked the jogger, knocking her to the ground and kicking her several times. He touched her in a sexual manner against her will, according to a police news release.
The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Army Navy Drive, which is roughly halfway between Interstate 395 exits 7 and 8A and immediately east of the Army and Navy Country Club.

The woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the police.
Investigators have identified an African-American man age 30 to 40 as a suspect. He is 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build and had several inches of hair on his head.

At the time of the attack, he was wearing a button-down light-blue shirt, dark pants and dark shoes.
"This assault does not appear to be connected to any other incidents in the area and the investigation is on-going," police stated in the news release.
