The Chicago-based Protein Bar, which will be at 800 N. Glebe Road, features made-to-order high-protein blended drinks, bowls, fresh-made chili, soups, salads and its signature quinoa-packed Protein Bar-Ritos.
The establishment says it provides organic, all-natural and locally-sourced ingredients and provides a complete list of all nutritional information and ingredients for its entire menu.

Matt Matros founded the restaurant in 2009 after losing 60 pounds on a high-protein diet, according to a news release. He created the restaurants as places that could provide a balance of protein, good fat and healthy carbs, the release states.
The Protein Bar will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays.
