Pedestrian Struck, Seriously Injured in Weekend Crash
The crash occurred just after midnight when the victim crossed Clarendon Boulevard near North Highland Street.
A 27-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car just after midnight Saturday in Clarendon, police said.
The 22-year-old driver, Tyler Wills, of Bowie, Md., stayed on the scene, said Arlington County Police Department spokesman Dustin Sternbeck. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, including one that involves maiming.
The victim, from Collinsville, Va., suffered significant injuries including a fractured skull, Sternbeck said.
