WJLA: D.C. Police Chase Stolen Vans on Eve of 9/11 Anniversary
It remains unclear if thefts were terror-related.

District police were on the hunt for two stolen U-Haul vans Saturday night, though it was unclear whether they were related to the lingering terror threat that hovers over New York and Washington, according to WJLA.
Authorities in both regions , with Washington Police Chief Cathy Lanier warning residents to be prepared for more stopped vehicles.
The local ABC affiliate reported a bulletin to law enforcement agencies that stated the thefts could be "a terror warning."

The vans were reported stolen out of Prince George's County, Md. One had been recovered by 10:15 p.m. Saturday.
, including an invitation-only ceremony at the Pentagon for families of those who died in the attack and an evening concert at the Kennedy Center at which President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak.

The "credible" terror threat that's being investigated is said to involve three people, be transportation-related, and potentially set to happen on or around the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
