Woman Charged in Clarendon Domestic Dispute

Woman allegedly cut man with a knife.

A 30-year-old Arlington woman has been charged with malicious wounding following a domestic dispute this weekend, according to information police released today.

Violeta Herrera was arrested and charged Sunday night. Police say she and a known man were arguing at about 10:40 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of North 11th Street in Clarendon.

The argument escalated and Herrera allegedly cut the man's hand with a knife, according to police.

She was held without bond.

An Arlington County police spokesman did not immediately return calls seeking more information.
