State Police say charges are pending against the Expedition driver, highlighting ongoing safety concerns along this key route for local residents.
• AI programs offered for business, students (farmvilleherald.com) — High schoolers in Cumberland County can join the free AI Innovation Challenge, forming teams to tackle local problems with help from Longwood University mentors and competing for up to $5,000 in implementation funding. At the same time, Southern Virginia businesses can attend a fall AI workshop series in South Boston to learn practical tools for marketing, workflows, and everyday tasks.
