A Rockapella Holiday

Storied and energetic vocal ensemble to present show at Hylton Performing Arts Center Friday

Rockapella, the nationally known ensemble that uses a blend of jazz, R&B and rock along with vocal percussion, or "beatboxing," will present a holiday concert at the Hylton Performing Arts Center Friday evening. The concert will feature classic Christmas songs along with other holiday tunes in Rockapella's signature style.

Rockapella was formed in 1986, and reached popularity in the early '90s, becoming known for performing the theme song and other music for the game show "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?"

The Hylton Performing Arts Center is in its first season of hosting events, having been created by a partnership between Prince William County, George Mason University, the City of Manassas, the Commonwealth of Virginia and individuals and businesses in the private sector.
