Managing Healthcare During & After Divorce

Dear Divorce Information NOW,
I am getting divorced and am concerned about health care costs for myself and my children. What should I be thinking about? Please be very specific because I am not employed and one of my kids always seems to be at the doctor's office.
Thank you

Consider these top ten issues for health care, behavioral health, dental care , as well as optical care .

  1. Although you are not employed at the moment you might be employed in the future in which case...whose insurance plan, yours or the children's father/mother, will provide coverage?   2. Who pays the insurance premium?   3. Who is responsible for the co-pay?   4. For professional expenses, procedures and medicine... not covered by insurance: Who pays those charges?   5. Duration of insurance responsibility?
  6. Who pays the co-pay for medicine?
7.Who pays the co-pay for physical therapy?
  8.Who pays for mechanical devises?
9.HOW ARE CHRONIC HEALTH CARE ISSUES PAID?Hospitalizations, attendants, etc.
