Suspect Arrested in Groping of Child at Target: Police

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A suspect has been arrested in the groping of a child Saturday at the Target store in the Mosaic District in Merrifield, Fairfax County Police announced Thursday.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division, Sex Crimes Squad, received an anonymous tip through Fairfax County Crime Solvers, identifying a possible suspect in the assault that occurred at the Target store on Saturday, June 18.

Racist Vandal Strikes Arlington Neighborhood: Police

A racist vandalism spree in the Boulevard Manor neighborhood of Arlington has residents on edge and police looking for a suspect.

Police say that at 5:30 a.m., an unknown suspect vandalized "numerous items" in the neighborhood, which included destruction of property and graffiti.

"The graffiti included various derogatory terms to include swastika, n-word and homosexual-slangs," Arlington police spokesperson Ashley Savage said. "The investigation is ongoing at this time."

Woman Killed in Driveway Accident: Police

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A 68-year-old woman was found pinned under a vehicle in her driveway in the 4200 block of Sleepy Hollow Road on Wednesday shortly after 4 p.m., Fairfax County Police announced Thursday.

Officers responded to the scene along with fire and rescue personnel. The victim was pronounced deceased a short time later. Detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to conduct the investigation which revealed that the victim apparently slipped under the vehicle after accidentally placing it in gear, according to police.
