NCAA College Football Schedule: Everything Local

Summer’s not even done cooking yet, but already it’s time for college football. Virginia’s teams are nowhere to be found among the top college football rankings, but that’s why they play the games, right?

The college betting lines, predictably, aren’t showing a lot of hope for Virginia Tech, 18-point underdogs to No. 1 Alabama. (See the game on ESPN at 5:30 Saturday.)

Virginia’s an underdog, too, but by only a field goal, to Brigham Young. (Game time is 3:30, and it’s on ESPN2.)

Keep an eye out for the local guy.

And good news for football addicts: Your fellow junkies will certainly be there to support you at several establishments in and near Woodbridge where you can watch the games.

Why: Great pizza and wings, free Wi-Fi, pool table in the back, happy hour, and $1 drafts until 8 p.m.

3. Hard Times Cafe

14389 Potomac Festival Plaza, Woodbridge.

Why:  Great chili, free pool after you order $8 of food or beer, a good veggie burger, and plenty of TVs.
