A Woodbridge woman was set up to be robbed at a Dumfries motel because of a domestic altercation, Prince William County Police said.Β

Police responded on Wednesday at 12:10 p.m. toΒ the Comfort Inn on Old Stage Road in Dumfries, where a 23-year-old Woodbridge womanΒ reported a robbery. She told police that she had made arrangements to meet with an unknown man in a room at the inn. When the man arrived, the woman recognized him as someone who she had met a few years ago.Β

While inside the room, the man became nervous and then left the room. He returned with another manβ€”later identified asΒ Johnathon DavonΒ Coleman, 21, of Knolle Drive, Woodbridge. The victim refused to allow the men to enter the room.Β

"At that point,Β ColemanΒ forced his way into the room with the other man," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said in a press release.Β "Once inside,Β ColemanΒ displayed a handgun and robbed the victim of a laptop, cell phone, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before both men fled the room."

The victim reported minor injuries. Detectives found during their investigationΒ that a third manβ€”identified asΒ Juoquim LequanΒ Young, 24, of Edsall Road in Alexandriaβ€”had orchestrated the robbery because of a domestic altercation between him and the victim, Perok said.Β

Police obtained warrants for Young's arrest on the charge ofΒ conspiracy to commit a felony.Β Coleman is wantedΒ for robbery and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.Β

The investigation continues into the identity of the third man.
