Winter Holiday Ornaments Family Workshop for Ages 7 & up Offered by Center for the Arts of Greater Manassas/Prince Wm County

Are you looking for a creative experience to share with family and friends this holiday season? Join this workshop! – Learn to make ornaments in the Pysanky Ukrainian tradition. In historic Ukraine, real egg shells were decorated and given as gifts to signify important events in a person's life. In this afternoon workshop, students will discover the process of dye and beeswax layering to create intricate designs. No experience necessary, and all supplies will be provided to finish between one and two eggs during the session. The Pysanky process is delicate, but anyone can learn the technique; join with family and friends and discover a new tradition together! REGISTER EARLY – enrollment limited. Ages 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult registrant.
