Alexandria Aces: Weekend Game Photos

The Alexandria Aces rallied for a dramatic comeback win Friday night at Frank Mann Field, but couldn't quite manage the same feat in the Sunday home game.

The Aces rallied from behind and held off the Presstman Baltimore Cardinals for 7-6 victory at home on Friday evening. The rest of the weekend didn't go the Aces' way as they dropped an away game Saturday to the Southern Maryland Nationals, 10-3, and fell just short at home Sunday against the Gaithersburg Giants in a contest that ended 4-3 in the visitors' favor.

The Aces play at Frank Mann Field, 3700 Commonwealth Ave., Alexandria, VA. The field is at Four Mile Run Park, next to Cora Kelly School.

  • Tonight, June 17 at 7 PM vs. the Vienna River Dogs
  • Friday, June 21 at 7 PM vs. the Bethesda Big Train
  • Saturday, June 22 at 4 PM vs. the Baltimore Redbirds (double header)

The Aces roster consists of college players from around the country. The Cal Ripken League is a premier collegiate wooden bat summer league with 12 community-supported teams based in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. The league draws talent from top Division I, II and III baseball programs nationwide.
