DIY Del Ray: Bargain Bonanza at the MV Big Flea
Take advantage of Shop 'N Drops every weekend in March and April
On DIY Del Ray, we love talking about the MV Big Flea. Why? For one, it's the biggest fundraiser of the year for Del Ray's Mount Vernon Community School.
It's also chock full of stuff you can fix up, repurpose or just use as is. And best of all, the Big Flea has unconditional love for your stuff—even if it's torn, worn or just plain weird—so it's a great opportunity to weed out household items and furniture taking up space in your house.
The Mount Vernon Community School PTA is holding weekly Shop 'N Drops where you can shop or drop off donations. Can't make it this weekend? There's always the next one. We've been popping in every once in a while to check out the merchandise. There's definitely something for everyone.

The MV Big Flea Shop 'N Drop is located at 3815 Mt Vernon Ave. right next to MOM's Organic Market. Just drive around back to find plenty of parking. It will be open every Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. leading up to the big shindig on May 4, 2013, at the Mount Vernon Recreation Center.
