Bruegger's Bagels Closes In Alexandria
The Alexandria Bruegger's Bagels was among the DC area locations that suddenly closed.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Bruegger's Bagels has closed its Alexandria location at 606 King Street a handful of closures in the DC area.
The bagel chain closed three DC locations as well: 2334 Wisconsin Avenue NW; 2101 L Street NW and 505 9th Street NW, Popville first reported. ARLnow reported the Arlington location at 818 N. Quincy Street remains open. The chain offers New York-style bagels, sandwiches, soups, salads, coffee and desserts.
The closings come after Minnesota-based Caribou Coffee Co. made a deal to buy Bruegger's this fall, the Washington Business Journal reports. The deal means Bruegger's is now under the same ownership as Caribou, Einstein Bros. Bagels and Noah Bagels. Einstein Bros. Bagels has an Old Town Alexandria location at 401 Dulany Street.
