Del Ray Restaurants Adjust To New Coronavirus Situation
Want to support local restaurants amid the new coronavirus situation? Small businesses are adapting and ask for support.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Public health officials are urging residents to practice social distancing in response to the new coronavirus, bringing into question how to approach restaurant operations. Del Ray restaurants are adapting social distancing recommendations by emphasizing takeout options.
While Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan ordered the closure of bars, restaurants, movie theaters and gyms across the state, effective 5 p.m. Monday, an order has not been announced in Virginia. Gov. Ralph Northam's ban on gatherings of 100 people or more does not apply to restaurants, bars and offices. The new coronavirus situation continues to rapidly change, so we will update this story accordingly if that policy should happen in Virginia.
