First Thursday Fest Postponed Due to Weather Forecast

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- First Thursday, Del Ray's monthly street festival, has been rescheduled from tonight (Thursday, April 7) to next Thursday, April 14, due to rain, organizers announced.

Next week, prepare to pull out your favorite hat, Easter bonnet or Crazy Hat Day-inspired creation, and stroll the Avenue from 6 p.m. to dusk for the theme "Hats Along the Avenue." The event will feature music from Mars Rodeo, a photo booth, discounts for showing your hat at select local businesses and more.

Participants are encouraged to bring single-serving, non-perishable food items for Blessings in a Backpack. For more information, visit www.visitdelray.com.

Each month has a different theme with activities for children, live music, and a festive atmosphere. Pets are welcome.
