Dog Missing After Alexandria Congressional Shooting Found (ICYMI)
A dog was missing for almost a day after being scared off by gunshots in the congressional shooting in Alexandria. ICYMI

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A dog that went missing during the Congressional shooting at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park Wednesday morning was found 24 hours later, Alexandria Police say.

Katie Filous, Daphnae's owner, tweeted her thanks to Alexandria Police for their response to the shooting.

Daphnae, a black and white pointer mix, was scared off by the gunshots at a dog park on Monroe Avenue. She is about 50 pounds and was wearing a pink harness.
