The Friends of Duncan Library will host a talk this talk by Joseph J. Urban III. He will be discussing his steampunk science-fiction novel The Blessed Father of Death. Set in post-Civil War 1877, the story mixes Confederacy-based steam-powered spaceships with Union troops, interplanetary war, and a prophetic Martian princess to come up with an imaginative alternate reality.
