Seminar: Building Sustainability with Community Gardening and Edible Schoolyards

The Arlington County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension is sponsoring this seminar. 

The seminar will focus on patterns and tools for success.
Keynote speakers will be Walter Tejada of the Arlington County Board and Rob Krupika, Alexandria city councilman. 

Networking begins at 8:15 a.m. and panel sessions at 9:15.

Topics include: 
Cultivating Community With Edible Gardening; Pre-School to Higher Education:
A Gardening Continuum; and Food for Thought: Ideas for Success and Sustainability.

A BYO Brown Bag Lunch is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., and the program will end at 2:30.
