Frost Advisory Issued For Loudon County Overnight
The National Weather Service is predicting a chance of frost for Loudon and Fauquier counties Tuesday.

WASHINGTON, DC — There is a frost advisory in effect for northwestern parts of the Washington, D.C., metro overnight, mostly Loudon and Fauquier counties. Sensitive plants may die if left outside uncovered, according to the National Weather Service, which said widespread frost is expected during the advisory period, which runs from 2 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
The advisory covers the Potomac Highlands, I-81 corridor between Staunton and Hagerstown, the far northwestern suburbs of Washington and Baltimore, and the northern foothills of Virginia.
Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid 30s by dawn, especially in the valleys, on Monday and Tuesday nights, according to the weather service.

The frost advisory includes Fauquier and Loudoun counties. Areas that may be affected are Leesburg, Ashburn, and Sterling.
