New Coffee Shop Proposed for Del Ray

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- A company called Dolce and Bean has filed paperwork with the City of Alexandria, proposing to open a location in Del Ray.

Dolce and Bean LLC is hoping to open at 2003A Mount Vernon Ave. The location was once home to Artfully Chocolate.

The new eatery would offer coffee, tea, lattes, ice cream, chocolates, candies and pastry, according to its special use permit application. The items would be delivered and not made on the premises, according to the paperwork.

There will be seating for 12 inside Dolce and Bean and 12 outside weather permitting. Proposed hours are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
