New Road Closure Starts Saturday During Del Ray Farmers Market

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- Beginning Saturday, April 16, Oxford Avenue will be closed at the intersection of Mt. Vernon Avenue and Oxford Avenue for the Farmers Market, the market has announced.

Farmers market patrons will have access to the parking lot from the Uhler Avenue entrance only – Oxford Avenue access will be closed. Oxford Avenue will be open at the intersection of DeWitt Avenue for local residents only.

"This area has become almost impossible for market patrons to get across this intersection – that is the reason for the temporary closure," the market noted in its announcement. This closure will be in effect throughout the summer months from 7:30 a.m. to Noon each Saturday. Please plan accordingly.
