ALEXANDRIA, VA — No credible threat was found at Alexandria City High School's Minnie Howard campus after an evacuation for a bomb threat Friday, according to Alexandria Police.

Alexandria Police deemed the building safe after a sweep of the Minnie Howard campus with assistance from Arlington County Police. Minnie Howard students were dismissed early. The King Street campus was on secure the building status but has returned to normal status.

The two high school campuses were put on secure the building status Friday morning as a social media threat was investigated. Alexandria City Public Schools received a report about a social media threat using the acronym ACHS. The school district worked with Alexandria Police to investigate.
