Join us for a special Veterans Day ceremony honoring the 67 Alexandrians who died during the Vietnam War, as well as all those in uniform, past and present.
The ceremony will be held indoors at the CPT Rocky Versace Plaza and Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial located at the Mount Vernon Recreation Center in the City of Alexandria, 2701 Commonwealth Ave. (intersection of Commonwealth and Mt Vernon Aves.).
Guest speaker will be Brig. Gen. (US Army, ret.) Jack Nicholson, former Secretary, American Battle Monuments Commission.
In addition to the guest speaker, the Cceremony will include patriotic songs and a wreath laying to honor CPT Rocky Versace, and Alexandria man who gave his life during the Vietnam war and later received the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions as a POW.
