Where To Find DC Winter Restaurant Week Specials Around Alexandria

Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week starts several days before Alexandria Restaurant Week and features several Alexandria restaurants.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The winter rendition of Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week arrives on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, bringing special menus at Alexandria area restaurants and others around the region.

Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week will be held from Jan. 16 to 22. Participating restaurants may offer $25 brunch specials or dinner specials for $40 or $55. Select restaurants will have restaurant week to-go offerings and wine or cocktail pairings.

The regional event starts several days before Alexandria Restaurant Week. The city's restaurant week from Jan. 20 to 29 features $25, $35 or $45-per-person dinner menus around Alexandria.

For Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week, Bastille Brasserie & Bar will offer $40 and $55 dinner menus with the option of wine pairings. Laporta's Restaurant will have three menus at three price points during restaurant week.

Rustico Restaurant will offer the choice of a two-course dinner for $35 or three-course dinner for $40. Takeout and delivery will be available.

On the waterfront, Chart House Restaurant will have a $25 lunch menu and $55 dinner menu. Takeout is an option at this restaurant.

Vermilion will serve up four dinner courses for $55. Delivery and takeout are options in addition to dine-in service.

In Del Ray, Cheesetique will have a $35 three-course lunch or dinner. Evening Star Cafe will serve a $40 menu with takeout and delivery options.

The event is hosted by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, which represents the DC region's restaurants and food service industry. Restaurant week is held twice a year, typically in January and August.

Sponsors include Events DC, OpenTable, Pepco, DC Health Link, NBC Washington, Campari, Wild Turkey Bourbon, Grand Marnier, Alto, and Coca-Cola Consolidated.
