Single-Car Crash Leaves 2 Adults Dead, 2 Children Injured In Fairfax County

Detectives are investigating the cause of the fatal single-car accident.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA – Two adults are dead and two children are injured, one critically, after a single-car accident on Route 123/Chain Bridge Road Sunday morning, Fairfax County authorities say.

According to the Fairfax County Police Department, the accident happened Sunday morning on Route 123 over Interstate 66 in Oakton. The adult female driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, while the adult male passenger was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced dead. Two children were also taken to a hospital, one in a life-threatening condition.

Both directions of Route 123 were closed as detectives investigated the crash. No cause has yet been announced.
