$2M Mega Millions Ticket Bought In Falls Church

Tuesday's lottery drawing made one person in Falls Church a millionaire.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—A Mega Millions ticket bought in Falls Church made someone a millionaire. The Virginia Lottery says the ticket won $2 million in the Tuesday, May 28 drawing.

The ticket came from Saigon Bakery & Deli, located in the Eden Center at 6773 Wilson Boulevard. The winning numbers were 9-21-34-42-50, and the Mega Ball number was 21. The winning ticket matched the first five numbers.

The ticket would usually win $1 million, but the lucky winner spent an extra dollar for Megaplier. This doubled the prize to $2 million. In all, 24,000 Mega Millions tickets bought in Virginia won something in Tuesday's drawing.

No ticket in Virginia or nationwide matched all six numbers in Tuesday's drawing. The estimated jackpot for Friday’s drawing is $444 million, according to the Virginia Lottery. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m.

Meanwhile the Wednesday, May 29 Powerball drawing has an estimated $325 million jackpot. Powerball drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m.
