Attempted Armed Robbery Caught On Camera In Bailey's Crossroads
Surveillance footage shows a suspect approaching the counter to make a purchase before pulling out a gun.

BAILEY'S CROSSROADS, VA—Fairfax County Police have released video of an attempted armed robbery in Bailey's Crossroads last December. The suspect has not yet been identified.
The incident happened at the 6053 Leesburg Pike Rite Aid on Dec. 14, 2018. Around 11 a.m., the suspect approached the cashier to make a purchase. When the cashier opened the cash drawer, the suspect pointed a gun at the worker. As seen in the video, the worker quickly closed the drawer, and the suspect left.
The suspect is described as black, 25 to 35 years old, around 5 foot 9, 150 to 180 pounds and wearing a dark hooded jacket, gray sweatpants and dark colored sneakers.
