Bakeshop Opens Location In Falls Church

FALLS CHURCH, VA—Bakeshop, an Arlington-based bakery, has expanded to Falls Church. The location opened at 100 East Fairfax Street on Monday, April 8.

ARLNow first reported the opening. According to the bakery's website, it offers a variety of baked goods, coffee and other drinks. Cupcake and macaron flavors change daily, and vegan offerings of cupcakes, cream pies and cookies are available.

Customers can also order whole layer cakes, whipped cream cakes and pies. Other specialty items include the Oreo in a blanket, PB cup in a blanket and cold macwiches.

Bakeshop opened its first location in 2010 at 1025 North Fillmore Street in Arlington. According to the bakery's website, the owner "wanted to create an awesome bakery for the neighborhood where neighbors would become friends and the bakery would be part of the local life."
