Blues Legend Buddy Guy To Perform At State Theatre

An influence on rock's biggest names, Buddy Guy will perform in Falls Church this summer.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—Blues legend Buddy Guy will play at The State Theatre in Falls Church this summer, the venue announced Tuesday. The performance is set for Thursday, July 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Guy is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and influenced some of the world's best guitarists like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

He holds 37 Blues Music Awards, more than anybody ever. He's also won seven Grammy awards, a Lifetime Achievement Grammy, a Kennedy Center Honor and tons more. Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" had Guy ranked at 23rd place.

Tickets are on sale for $82. The show is 18 and over. Buy tickets at www.thestatetheatre.com or at the box office at 220 North Washington Street. Tickets purchased in person are the cheapest option and have only a $1/ticket service fee.
