Bomb Threat Results In Evacuation At Falls Church Area Starbucks
The suspect who made the threats is in custody, according to Fairfax County Police.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—A Falls Church area Starbucks was evacuated for a bomb threat investigation Saturday night, according to Fairfax County Police. Police ended up finding nothing suspicious in the suspect's backpack.
Police responded to the Starbucks at 8104 Arlington Boulevard, police said in a tweet shortly before 5 p.m. The man believed to have made the treat was inside. The building was evacuated as police investigated the threat.
Police brought in crisis negotiation teams to make contact with the man. He was taken into custody before 6 p.m., according to a tweet.

An explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) team came in to look at the suspect's backpack. Police asked residents to avoid the shopping center until the team determined the backpack did not contain a threat.
David Velasquez, 28, of Fairfax was charged with threats to bomb or damage buildings and being drunk in public. He is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

A worker tweeted about what reportedly happened before police arrived.
So there’s a man in the Starbucks where I work that went into the store and told everyone he had a bomb and now Fairfax County police, swat and a bomb unit are surrounding the shopping center......
