Falls Church SunTrust Bank Fire: No Injuries
Update: Fire officials are investigating the fire at SunTrust Bank but say no injuries occurred.
(Updated 12:15 p.m.) FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA—Fairfax County, Arlington County and Alexandria firefighters are responding to a fire in Falls Church Thursday morning. Officials tell Patch no one was injured.
Officials say smoke was showing from the rear of the building in the 6300 block of Leesburg Pike in Seven Corners around 10:50 a.m. Firefighters located the blaze inside an telephone box panel in a mechanical and have extinguished it.
On the scene, employees evacuated the building, but officials say SunTrust should be open for business later today. As of noon, crews were working to ventilate the building, where smoke affected two floors.
