Join Better Said Than Done storytelling online this Spring for a series of storytelling workshops to grow your creative spirit. Workshops led by Better Said Than Done Executive Director Jessica Piscitelli Robinson.

June 3 Storytelling Workshop: Setting the Scene

Where are we, where did we come from, what are we carrying and who are we meeting? Learn to bring the audience with you as you step into a scene.

Each workshop will start with a lesson, followed by time for attendees to write and work on a story, and end with story sharing. All workshops will be recorded and all registrants will receive the recording, as well as course materials, for the session they registered for.

Each week starts at 7:00pm Eastern and will end at approximately 8:45 to 9:00pm. The zoom link to attend will be sent on the morning of that day’s workshop, and the recording will be sent within 48 hours.

Workshop led by Jessica Piscitelli Robinson. Jessica Robinson is the Founding Executive Director of Better Said Than Done, the organization behind the Women’s Storytelling Festival. In addition to producing the WSF and storytelling shows in Northern Virginia, Jessica has performed at the Exchange Place at National Storytelling Festival, and the Georgia Mountain Storytelling Festival, on WGBH’s “Stories from the Stage,” and the Risk! Podcast, and was featured in the Florida, Good Liars Club, Hampton, and Stone Soup Storytelling Festivals. Jessica is a 2023 ORACLE Award recipient from the National Storytelling Network. Jessica has taught storytelling workshops for Story Crossroads, The Story Center, and community and business organizations such as The Brookings Institution, George Mason University’s Athletics Department, George Washington University’s School of Business, and The World Bank. Jessica’s writing has been published a bunch of places and she is the author of the memoir-in-stories, Stages: My Life in Stories (Tucker DS Press).
