Carjacking Attempt Reported In Falls Church, Suspects Wanted
City of Falls Church Police are investigating a carjacking attempt that happened on Park Avenue.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — An attempted carjacking was reported Sunday night in the City of Falls Church, according to police.
The carjacking attempt happened in the 900 block of Park Avenue around 7 p.m. Sunday. Two suspects tried to steal the vehicle and fled on foot, according to police. There were no injuries.
The suspects were described as men around 20 years old with short black or brown hair and wearing black clothing, hoodies and jackets. Surveillance photos have been released by police.

City of Falls Church Police urged residents to prioritize their safety to prevent a serious injury from a carjacking. When getting in a car, police say residents should stay alert and look around, under and inside the car before getting in. When getting out of a vehicle, police recommend parking in well-lit areas and not near dumpsters, large vans or trucks or other places with limited visibility. Valuables should also be put away out of plain sight. If a situation makes you feel uncomfortable, police recommend locking doors and driving away.
