Cherry Blossom Festival, St. Patrick's Day: See NoVA, DC Weekend Events

St. Patrick's Day parties, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Super Pet Expo and more are planned for this weekend in Northern Virginia.

VIRGINIA — As we pass the ides of March, the weekend will bring St. Patrick's Day festivities, the start of cherry blossom season and more in DC and Northern Virginia.

St. Patrick's Day falls on Friday, but there will be events continuing into the weekend. Some highlights include Ireland at The Wharf in DC, Catch the Go Karting Leprechaun in Manassas and Sterling, Lucky's St. Patrick's Day Crawl in Alexandria, Lucky U St. Paddy's Bar Crawl in DC and St. Patrick's Beer Festival At Shipgarten in Tysons.

The National Cherry Blossom Festival kicks off this weekend ahead of peak bloom from March 22 to 25. The Tidal Basin Welcome Area & ANA Stage will be open before the festival's major events in the coming weeks.
