Early Voting For Falls Church 2022 Primary Wraps Up This Week
As the June 21 primary election approaches, voters will choose a Democratic candidate for the 8th congressional district.
FALLS CHURCH, VA — Early voting for the June 21 8th congressional district Democratic primary will conclude Saturday in Falls Church. This is the only 2022 primary race in the City of Falls Church.
Rep. Don Beyer is seeking a fifth term as the representative for the 8th congressional district, which includes the City of Falls Church, Arlington County, City of Alexandria and part of Fairfax County. The primary challenger is Victoria Virasingh, a former technology industry employee.
Because the district leans Democratic, it is likely the winner of the Democratic primary will secure a win in the November general election. Republicans have already chosen Karina Lipsman, a refugee from Ukraine who became a U.S. citizen, as the candidate to face the Democratic primary winner in the general election.
