Elderly Man Stabbed In Bailey's Crossroads: Police

Police are seeking a suspect who stabbed an elderly victim and fled.

BAILEY'S CROSSROADS, VA—Fairfax County Police are seeking a suspect after an elderly man was stabbed in Bailey's Crossroads on Dec. 4.

The 71-year-old victim was walking in the 3400 block of Payne Street around 8:30 p.m. when the suspect grabbed him from behind and stabbed him in the torso. The suspect fled in the area afterward.

The victim was taken to the hospital and continues to recover after surgery. Police say the suspect did not steal anything from the victim.

The suspect is described as a man around 6 foot and 180 pounds. The victim told police the suspect wore a black mask and yelled in an Arabic accent.

Detectives are seeking information from anyone in the area from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. on Dec. 4. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Lawalt at 703-256-8035 or submit a tip online through Crime Solvers.
