Elderly Woman Missing From Falls Church Located

An elderly woman who went missing from her assisted living home in Falls Church Sunday has been safely located after a large community effort to find her.

Ruth Anntanasio, 81, who also goes by the name Cuchy, had been last seen at The Kensington on Broad Street in Falls Church around 8 a.m. Sunday. She has early onset dementia, police say.

She is on foot and is considered a strong walker. She was last wearing a long grey sweater, blue jeans, and carrying a white purse with black strap. She is described as 5 foot 3 with shoulder length white hair.

A Virginia State Police K9 team, Fairfax County Police and St. James Catholic Church assisted Falls Church Police with the search.
