Shelter House's Patrick Henry Family Shelter is in need of tutors...so we are having a Tutoring Extravaganza!
The Patrick Henry Family Shelter is Fairfax County's large family shelter, housing up to 9 families of 5 or more members. At least 3 members of each household are children and most are enrolled in Fairfax County Public Schools.
Our tutoring program, which occurs Monday through Thursday from 4pm to 6pm, is an essential part of our children's services. We help children in grades K-12 complete homework assignments, papers, projects and add additional support through reading support, educational games and encouragement.
