Falls Church Among 2018 Best Places To Live In Virginia

Education and amenities were some of the factors leading to Falls Church's high ranking.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—If you're a Falls Church resident, you have the bragging rights of saying you live in the one of the best places in Virginia.

That's according to HomeSnacks, a website that analyzes the quality of life in places around the U.S. Falls Church claimed the fourth spot in the 2018 Best Places to Live in Virginia ranking.

HomeSnacks analyzed 62 localities that have populations over 5,000 around the Commonwealth. The analysis gave localities scores out of 10 possible points for these factors: median home values, median income, population density, unemployment rate, commute time, crime, education levels, health insurance coverage and poverty rates. These were combined to give an overall score out of 10.

Falls Church's housing, education and amenities helped it achieve a perfect 10 score. The only less-than-excellent individual rankings were for affordability (6) and commute (5) (no surprise).

"It ranked highly because of its high incomes (3rd overall) and low crime (13th overall and one of the best in the top ten), states the website. "We think the city should probably change its motto at this point to something like The Place To Be In Virginia."
