Falls Church Area Bank Robbed Monday

Incident took place at about 3:30 p.m.

A Falls Church area bank was robbed Monday afternoon, according to Fairfax County Police and the FBI.

On Monday, at approximately 3:30 p.m., an unknown individual entered the United Bank located at 7115 Leesburg Pike, in Falls Church.

The suspect approached the teller, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. Upon receiving an undisclosed amount of money, he fled the bank on foot.

The individual is described as a black male, wearing a black North Face windbreaker type of jacket with the hood up. The lower part of the front of his jacket was pulled up to cover his lower face, leaving only his eyes visible. He wore blue jeans and black boots.

The suspect is described as being between 6’ to 6’2” and 220 pounds.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of this bank robber.
