Falls Church Area Companies Make Inc. 5000 List In 2022

FALLS CHURCH, VA — The latest Inc. 5000 list, an annual look at the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., includes companies based in the Falls Church area.

Inc. magazine ranks the 5000 fastest-growing companies by percentage revenue growth from 2018 to 2021. Well-known companies such as Facebook (now Meta), Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft and Patagonia are previous honorees on the Inc. 5000.

"The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated," said Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc., in a news release. "Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work, and rising to the challenges of today."

Companies can qualify for the list if they are U.S.-based, were founded and producing revenue by March 31, 2018 and had a minimum $100,000 revenue in 2018 and $2 million in 2021. On average, companies on the list have 230 percent growth and $317.2 billion in revenue. The list contains 695 newly founded companies and 2,915 repeat companies.

There were 258 companies from Virginia on the list. One Falls Church area company that made the top 500 was Sierra7, which is based in the Fairview Park area. Sierra7 is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business providing information technology and consulting services to federal agency clients.

"With rapid growth, a team needs to make a continuous effort, take risks, and be adaptable to change," said Gina Gallagher, Sierra7's chief growth officer. "Through the COVID-19 Pandemic, our team displayed resilience by standing strong and standing together. Through this challenge, with our team’s dedication and belief in our company, we were able to adapt and move forward as one to achieve this great accomplishment."

Other Falls Church area companies on the list include public relations firm Pinkston at 4,039 (119 percent growth), information technology consulting firm Alesig Consulting at 4,070 (118 percent growth), business management consultant Evans Consulting, and information technology company Agil3 Technology Solutions.
