Falls Church Celebrates PARK(ing) Day on Sept. 21
For one day, a metered parking area will turn into a public green space.
From The City of Falls Church: On Friday, September 21, the City of Falls Church will celebrate PARK(ing) Day, a worldwide event promoting the importance of preserving and creating public green space in urban areas.Join City staff from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., where a metered parking space on Maple Ave. near the Lincoln at Tinner Hill apartment building will be temporarily transformed into a “parklet.” The public can explore the parklet, talk with staff from various City agencies, and enjoy activities and refreshments. The PARK(ing) Day event is free and open to the public.
