Falls Church Memorial Day Parade 2019: Schedule, Road Closures
The Little City's Memorial Day event includes a ceremony, parade and festival.

FALLS CHURCH, VA—Thousands will descend on Falls Church for the annual Memorial Day Parade and Festival on Monday, May 27.
The event includes a Memorial Day Ceremony, parade and other entertainment. It will kick off with the Don Beyer Volvo 3K Fun Run at 9 a.m., followed by a Veterans Ceremony with keynote speaker Tracy Roou at the Veterans Memorial at 11 a.m.
The parade is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. led by Grand Marshal Rob Donovan. The parade runs along Park Avenue from N. West Street to Little Falls Street.

The parade names winners for a number of categories, including: Best Emergency Vehicle, Best Float, Best High School Marching Band, Best Professional Marching Band, Best Vehicles, Best Walking Group, Best Youth Group and Best Military Group.

Schedule
- 9 a.m. - Don Beyer Volvo 3K Fun Run (no registration required)
- 9 a.m.-2 p.m. - Music on the Main Stage
- 9 a.m.-5 p.m. - Festival with Children's rides, food, and vendors
- 10 a.m.-2 p.m. - Tours of Cherry Hill Farmhouse
- 11 a.m.-12 p.m. - Veterans' Ceremony at Veterans Memorial, Community Center. Keynote Speaker is Tracy Roou
- 11 a.m.-3:15 p.m. - Blood Drive (INOVA Bloodmobile parked on Little Falls Street near Community Center. Make an appointment at here.)
- 2 p.m. - Parade begins, led by Grand Marshal Rob Donovan
Road Closures
- Park Avenue will be closed between North Maple Avenue to North Virginia Avenue from 5:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Little Falls Street will be closed between Park Avenue and Great Falls Street from 5:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Portions of several streets will be closed for the Fun Run. Parking will not be allowed from 6 a.m.-11 a.m. and vehicular traffic from 8 a.m.-10:30 a.m. (see map below)

- Vehicular traffic and parking will not be allowed from 5:30 a.m.-7 p.m. on several portions of streets (see map below).

Parking
The city recommends free parking in the Kaiser Permanente garage (Park Avenue near N. Washington Street) and the George Mason Square garage (103 West Broad Street). Parking on side streets that aren't closed for the parade may be available. There will be handicap parking on Great Falls Street between N. Washington and Little Falls Street.
Visitors are asked not to park in private lots with "No Parking – Towing Enforced" signs.
