Falls Church Primary Voter Guide: What’s On The Aug. 4 Ballot
Falls Church voters can begin casting ballots for Virginia's primary election on June 18. Here's who is on the ballot.
FALLS CHURCH, VA – On August 4, voters in Virginia’s 8th Congressional District will choose who will represent the Democratic Party in the November general election for that seat in the U.S. House of Representatives and who will represent the GOP in the Senate election.
Early voting for that primary begins on June 18 and ends on August 1. Voters are not registered by party in Virginia, so any registered voter can cast a ballot in the primary they choose.

Senate Republican Primary
Voters can choose from among 3 candidates running to represent the Republican Party in the U.S. Senate race in November. Those candidates are:
On the Democratic side, incumbent Senator Mark Warner has already secured his party's nomination.
Election Day is Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Register to Vote
The deadline to register to vote or update an existing voter registration is Friday, July 24, which is also the deadline to request a mail-in ballot. Voters can also register to vote at the polls and cast a provisional ballot.
Visit the Virginia Department of Elections Citizen Portal to register, check your registration status, or apply to receive an absentee ballot by mail. The Department of Elections website also offers information on what identification to bring with you to the polls.
Early Voting In Person
Early in-person voting is at City Hall, 300 Park Ave, Falls Church, VA 22046, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Weekend days for early in-person voting will be:
Saturday, July 25, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, August 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be an option for emergency voting on August 3 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Voting Early By Mail
Falls Church voters can apply for a mail-in ballot at the Virginia Department of Elections website. Completed applications can also mailed or dropped off at the Department of Elections Office at 300 Park Ave., Falls Church, VA, 22046.
Voters can track ballots by mail by using Ballot Scout and confirm ballots have been received on the Virginia Department of Election's Citizen Portal.
Completed ballots can be dropped off in the secure ballot box located outside City Hall (300 Park Ave.) The ballot box is under 24/7 video surveillance and is monitored by the Falls Church Police Department.
